Its The Bridesmaids Turn Lets Have A Party Ever heard of a bridesmaids party? Most of you will probably say you've never heard of it. That's ok but it is quite a common practice that most brides don't realize there is a name for. No, it isn't the same as the bridal shower. The bridesmaids party is a gathering called for by the bride exclusively for her bridesmaids. It doesn't have to be a formal affair. A simple gathering for lunch or dinner and some time to chat is actually sufficient. This is the time for the bride to say thank you to these family members and friends who are playing a very active role in making the wedding happen the way the couple hopes. While it is an honor to be asked, some people do decline to be part of a wedding party. The bridesmaids rarely just sit around and do nothing but show up for the ceremony. Usually, they'll be doing a whole lot of errand running for the bride and groom; hence the party in their behalf. This is normally set for a time when all the bridesmaids can be present - maybe for the final fitting of their dresses. When the fitting is done, whisk them off to the venue of your choice be it your home or a fancy restaurant. It's best if you gave them warning to clear their schedules ahead of time. This is the time to discuss with them any particular tasks you want them to do for your wedding. This is also the time to say thank you for their help. If you have a gift for the bridesmaids, now is the time to give it as well. You can have this as late as the day before your wedding though, about a week or two before would be better. You'll be done with the major details of your wedding and have time to relax and have fun with your friends. This time, it's just for them.
